Margaret Ballantyne
Margaret lives and works in Glasgow, where she attended the Glasgow School of Art.
She is a professional member of Visual Arts Scotland as well as a member of the Glasgow Society of Women Artists and the Paisley Art Institute where she won the Col. Neville Award in 1993.
She exhibits regularly with the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions.
She was invited by the International Artist Magazine to contribute an article on her painting and method and her work was also chosen at The Mall Galleries for the Laing 1997 Calendar. For the past four years the National Trust for Scotland has used one of her paintings for their Christmas card.
Margaret has also had successful exhibitions throughout the UK as well as the US and Russia.
