Brian Lancaster was born in Atherton near Manchester in 1931. He attended the local school until passing a scholarship for Bolton College of Art (1946-1949). He worked as a graphic designer in Canada for several years and on returning to the U.K., settled in the Bristol area working as a designer and illustrator. Brian works mainly in watercolour, supplemented with some acrylic.
