Graham Forbes was born in 1959 in Edinburgh. He attended George Heriot's School, then went to on to Edinburgh Art College in 1997. He graduated in 1981 and worked freelance doing graphic design and photography. He has produced several limited edition prints of Edinburgh and has done many commissions for well known Scottish companies.
