BIO
Born in Glasgow in 1949, Lin moved to Ayrshire as a child and went to school in
Prestwick. She qualified as a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse after training at
Seafield Hospital, Ayr. She always maintained a great interest in drawing and
sketching and after moving back to Glasgow with her husband, bringing up a daughter
and a son, she renewed her enthusiasm by attending day classes at the Glasgow
School of Art.
She is renowned for her soft sensuous use of line and colour. She portrays with bold
confidence an extensive range of subject matter. She depicts the sizzling heat of
Marrakech market scenes, the vitality of Mediterranean street life and the drama of
Scottish landscape with equal intensity. Her figurative work also reveals a touching
sense of humanity
Lin’s work is highly sought after and she exhibits widely around the U.K. with
paintings in collections all over the world. She has had many images published as
short run signed limited edition giclee prints by Di Rollo Fine Art.
