Ann Armstrong studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1970-74. Her work is inspired by travel and the subjects of her watercolour, oil paintings, pastels or drawings could be the grey subdued light of a Parisian street in winter, or the blinding midday sun on the Nile or a cloudy Scottish hillside, seeking the vibrant or subtle colours of her subject matter. She has participated in many group exhibitions, including the Royal Society of Watercolour Artists, Royal Glasgow institute and many galleries in UK and abroad.
