Christine O'Keeffe

Originals

Christine has always worked in the field of design. From entering Art College at the age of sixteen to the present day her world has always had a strong art and design emphasis and she has been lucky enough to have the opportunity to both make design her way of life and her profession.

Christine was born and brought up in London, moved to Suffolk in her teens and has been living and working in Scotland for the past twenty two years. She lives in a traditional croft house near the village of Edderton, north of Inverness. Buried deep in the countryside the house overlooks a wooded valley to the south and has views of the Struie Hills to the north. Christine says of her surroundings, “The beauty of the landscape in Scotland is comparable to the best anywhere in the world. I feel overwhelmed and inspired by the ever changing drama, texture and colour of the scenery”.

Christine’s work has found its way into private collections world wide. She exhibits both in and around Inverness and elsewhere in Scotland and the UK. Christine also teaches several workshops each year both in Scotland and in France where she and her husband have a holiday home.
