Sheena Phillips

Originals

Brought up in Ayrshire, Sheena gained her Diploma at Edinburgh College of Art. She was craftsman in residence in Linlithgow then worked as a furniture designer until she decided to return to painting with a move to Haddington.

She likes to prepare sketches and paintings on site. Her work has been described as ‘atmospheric and evocative’ often showing the effect of light on water and land and also the juxtaposition of new and old city buildings. She demonstrates watercolour painting and holds workshops over Scotland and the North of England. She shows regularly with the Royal Scottish Society of Watercolours and Paisley Art Institute.
