This large sycamore bowl is beautifully finished with a subtle  spalted motif. Spalting occurs naturally in wood due to the influence of fungi. The resulting unique patterns are much sought after by woodworkers.
 
Local artist Angus Clyne is based in Pitlochry, Perthshire and uses localy sourced wood. His bowls are finished with food safe oils so as well as being beautiful, they can have a practical application.
